Since 7 December 2024, GST registration applicants in Haryana may be asked to complete biometric Aadhaar authentication and document verification in person at a GST Suvidha Kendra (GSK). This follows the amended Rule 8 of the CGST Rules and the GSTN advisory issued for Haryana, Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura. Who has to visit the GST Suvidha Kendra?
Not every applicant. After you submit the application in FORM GST REG-01, the portal assesses it on data analysis and risk parameters and sends you an email:

Step by step, if you are asked to visit
- Book the appointment using the link in the email, choosing an available slot at the designated GSK.
- Visit within the time given in the email. The timeline is stated in the intimation, so act on it straight away.
- Carry the right documents (listed below).
- Complete biometric authentication and photograph for each person required in the application.
- Original documents are verified against what was uploaded.
- ARN is generated once the verification is completed, and the application moves to the officer.
Documents to carry to the GSK
- the appointment confirmation email, printed or on your phone
- the jurisdiction details given in the intimation email
- original Aadhaar card and original PAN card
- originals of every document uploaded with the application, such as the rent agreement, electricity bill, ownership proof or consent letter
Tips to avoid a second visit
- Upload clear copies of documents you actually hold in original. If an original is not available, the verification can fail.
- Make sure the name and address on the electricity bill, rent agreement and application match exactly.
- Each person listed for authentication must attend personally. Plan the visit around their availability.
- Keep the original rent agreement signed by both parties, not a scan of an unsigned draft.
